New Video + Review: Davido – Overseas (Featuring Sina Rambo)

New video from Davido featuring Sina Rambo, from his forthcoming album. Directed by Antwan Smith and shot on location in Miami just like his previous video, “Ekuro”, “Overseas” is a song and video you can afford to sleep on.

Vocally, it’s bad enough that Davido who is hyped as the next big thing not only relies heavily on Autotune to carry his voice,but also allows Sina Rambo to steal the song with his bars.

Visually, what could have been a great video relies heavily on the played out theme of partying it up with exotic women at an exotic location, for those who don’t know, Jigga (and UGK) wrote the book on that with Big Pimpin’ back in 1999, if you can’t do better, in this writer’s opinion, no point even taking it on.

Ultimately, if you’re into Davido you’ll probably overlook the flaws mentioned above, but chances are if you’re like most, you’ll watch this song, fast forward it, and forget you ever saw it withing days if not hours of watching…
